Judgements

The Bible admonition is something that I have heard and misinterpreted for many years. "Judge not lest you be judged." I interpreted that as a stricture against judging other people.
But I did judge.
There are bad people committing bad acts.
When I heard things like, "Hate the sin, but love the sinner.", I made another judgment. I judged that such a thing was not possible in my definition of love.

Welcome. I hope that you will take a moment to share with us what it is you believe. I think it is important in the times we live in to learn as much as we can about each other. We must learn to be tolerant and open to listening even when we don't agree.

I hope that you will take a moment to share with us what it is you believe. I think it is important in the times we live in to learn as much as we can about each other. We must learn to be tolerant and open to listening even when we don't agree.

Where ever there is a group of people there will be both unity and division based on individual beliefs. Because I'm a Catholic I have chosen a set of beliefs but that doesn't mean I sit in judgement of others. The last time I checked God was the judge in all things and he told us NOT to. As a matter of fact the Lords Prayer expressly tells us that we will be judged the same way we go around judging others. Scary thought.

I invite you to share what you believe. All of us have many things we believe and new things come up every day. At this network you are invited to create groups, blogs or what ever to help share your beliefs and explore the beliefs of others.

This is NOT a place to argue your case. This is a place to simply state what you believe and let others respond. The idea is exploration not evangelization.
